Better But With Side Effects

I been taking Apple Cider Vinegar (2ts to 12ozs of water) and drinking slowly thoughout the day but my huband complains of it causing really, really bad breath on me. I like the way my body feels but I don't want to cause other people discomfort around me. He claims it's coming from my stomach. I become so aware of the problem and when I stop taking it my breath is fine. Any suggestions? Please offer.

I was using ACV to detox @ 2tsp per 24oz of water per day also was oil pulling each morning with different kinds of oil. Coconut, sesame, castor oil.... I use the ACV about 2 wks before noticing I was getting a raging vaginal yeast infection. Used acidophilus both internally and externally and got relief. Started ACV again and notice the yeast infection symptoms again. Could this be from die off or what is your opinion? Has anyone else experienced this reaction? Should I use ACV again after I get it under control?

Better But With Side Effects

I am 29 year old and married. Suffering from sinusites since last one year and have use all sort of antibiotics but still victim of sinusitis. I have found on this site apple cider vinegar for treatment of sinus infection. I have use it and after taking two dose as prescribed on this site, my sinus problem is a little bit controlled.

But I have severe side effects of this remedy I.E. Low libido and erectile dysfunction. Before using it I was totally fit and I was no issue of ed but after taking two dose of apple cider vinegar I face this ed problem. Any help, suggestion or advice please to overcome this issue. Is using apple cider vinegar the reason of low libido and ed? I have purchase american garden apple cider vinegar because other brands are not available in my area.

I have just tried 2 teaspoons of ACV in 8 ounces of water. I sipped the mixture and I got a very bad reaction. It went thru me like a colonic and I had feelings of nausea. Is this a normal reaction?

hello, I just found this site and decided to try the Apple Cider Vinegar tonic. This is my 3rd day. 2tsp in 16 oz of water. And I sip all day. 3 refills a day. When I drink it, my left hand goes numb and tingles. There is no pain, but this has never happened before. The 2nd day, I stopped drinking it , around miday, and the numbness went away. Today, I am sipping all day, but the numbness is there too. Does anyone have any idea as to why this is happening? Btw, I do love this site :) any input would be Very much appreciated!

I have same symptom like you, my left hand fingers numb after 3 days drinking AVC, did you find out what caused the symptom? AVC does a good job for my Sinus Congestion, don't want to give it up. Did you continue drinking AVC?

Too acidic, I found I could take it for a week, a teaspoon in water and after that it didn't agree with me.

Hi there! I recently tried your revised recipe for daily drinking of ACV. I'm not sure if it was supposed to happen or not. Possibly just detoxing, but oh how annoying, My face started breaking out. Nothing I couldn't handle. They actually cleared up quite quickly. What scared me a bit, though, was that my tongue started breaking out, too!! It really hurt when I brushed my teeth and tongue as I usually do. I drank this for approx. 2 weeks, throughout the day, until I could no longer tolerate the pain in my mouth. Did I stop too soon? Did I go too long? When I first started, it was within hours that I felt my mouth drying out and imagined my body was doing the same. it surprised me, later, when I started breaking out.

Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks! And thanks for all you're doing here!

Can too much apple cider vinegar (like 5 glassed, 3ts diluted in water, with bicarbonate of soda and honey) cause flu like symptoms, with nausea - vomiting, headache, stomach-ache and chills?

Hi Allen, it may the sodium bicarb that is making you sick. If you have too much you will get diarrhea.

You may be going through Herxheimer Reaction (Die Off Reaction). I would suggest researching Herxheimer Reaction for more details.

Better But With Side Effects

I have just started using this ACV, but I am not sure if I have been using it incorrectly, I was taking it 1teaspoon to a tablespoon in a glass of cold water WITHOUT honey, four times, and I tend to get these dizzy spells and feeling light headed and yawning all the time, even though my sinuses are better but I sometimes feel horrible and even feel I need to eat all the time, am I using it incorrectly and is the absence of honey to my dosage causing some imbalance somewhere, somehow, or does the feeling go away in time? Please help!

The reason for your light headedness and dizziness with ACV is that some individual's bodies, such a yours, cannot properly process the vinegar in larger quantities (being more than would be used in food). This causes a reaction similar to that of alcohol.

If you get this reaction with ACV, it is best that you look for a different natural solution. Or drink it when you've got nowhere to go :)

Greetings! After reading about Apple Cider Vinegar, Garlic and Raw Honey, I made the solution and began to take it just in the mornings (1 tbsp in 1 cup of water). I took it to reduce my blood pressure. Instead, my blood pressure shot up to 160/110 in a couple of days. It was already at 140/100. Has this happened to anyone before? This is the 2nd time I did this. The first was with ACV, baking soda and mollasses. At that time I assumed the baking soda was the source, but now I am really surprised this happened with the ACV. Any suggestions??

Hello Nhyira, I have had similiar results with ACV. It seems that my BP has increased also after a few days.

Has anyone else experienced a increase in appetite while taking the ACV. I have been taking the unfiltered on for about 3 weeks and I am experiencing an increase in appetite and sugar cravings. I have always had sugar cravings. But, I thought the ACV would slow it down.

Acetic acid (active component in ACV) has been proven to reduce blood sugar levels in several studies. If you have not consumed much carbohydrates prior to taking ACV, you will give yourself hypoglycemia and will crave sugar.

The best times to take ACV alone is at least 30 minutes after a meal. Or you could try ACV with molasses, which has enough sugar to keep you from being hypoglycemic.

Sue. See my comments on 9/2/11 about bleeding. I have not been taking ACV seriously until now when I seem to be going through a phase of nose bleeds that are reluctant to stop. I have not yet noticed an increased desire for sugar or eating. ACV seems to be very versatile but I have only just begun exploring the possibilities.

Better But With Side Effects

When I take ACV it gives me acid reflux. I've only tried it a couple times & used to drink it all the time, years ago & it definitely is good for weight loss. Why would that be? Has anyone else had this problem & if so does anyone have any other suggestions for acid reflux? It's really making me miserable. I'm losing sleep because of it. I've been taking Baking Soda with pure water but that doesn't even help much anymore.

RE: Stopping acid indigestion.

Here's what helped me.

Avoid trigger foods, chocolate, coffee, most teas, caffeine, sugar, dairy, wheat...?

Take Reacted Calcium by Orthomolecular (or other equivalent) 1 cap before meal. I like to open the caps and put the powder in my mouth than wash down with lots of water. It depends on your digestion, etc.

Sodium Bicarbonate without aluminum, approx 1 tsp in bubbly or plain water. Tastes awful but often motivates belching and cuts down on acid.

In the morning, do heel lifts/drops, raise up on heels, then drop down. If you have hiatial hernia, common and causes acid too, this will help seal the hernia for the day. Chiropractors can give adjustments for hiatial hernias too.

Do NOT take RX or OTC acid blockers, esp regularly. They may provide initial relief but can lead to serious digestive disorders and make everything worse, trust me!

Balance your PH by taking a PH supplement.

If you find you are having issues and are not trying to sleep, I find that walking around and doing things is preferable to sitting or lying down and helps to keep digestion moving.

Seek out a great naturopathic doc for asssitance and evaluate your nutrition and everything you put in your mouth! Reduce stress of course.

Try turmeric in coconut milk with a little black pepper for absorption. I also add cinnamon and stevia. Some like to heat it a little but it works cold, too. When I get stressed, the reflux can appear. By taking even just 2 oz of this Golden Milk, as it is called in India, the problem is gone, all is quiet, and I can sleep.

Hi I just started taking acv, 3 times a day with water and nothing else -I also apply topically to my face - sometimes have mild acne with a random not so mild deep cyst on my face now and then normally after menstrual cycle.

my face looks so much better in a short period of time but my sinuses are so much worse, I have had sinuses problems for many years have tried just about everything- I also do not eat sugar and dairy very rarely -

i wake up feeling sick every day with flu like symptoms and I have a "river" of mucus dripping on the back of my throat-the back of my eyes hurts -even my ears feel full, they dont hurt it just seems like I am far - the wonderful rosy glow I had the first few days is now gone too!

my lower back hurts a little don't know if related and suddenly I also seem to have discharge clear and odorless nothing worrisome - but it is out of the ordinary

i am wondering if this is because I am de-toxin somehow or I might be allergic to Apple Cider Vinegar ?

i should also mention that I am hypothiroid under control with armour

i have been taking primrose oil for a few years now

just in case I will tell you that I started putting castor oil drops in my eyes before I go to bed I have pteglyum in both eyes and had a pimple like growth on my tear duct that has disappeared in 2 days ( have had it for a few years too)this is sooo wondeful!

my eyes are completely blood shot where pteglyum is all veins seem to have gotten irritated at the same time so I am wondering if it is all connected somehow

thanks so much I love this site!!!!

Better But With Side Effects

I know this is probably contradictory to all who have found ACV an excellent treatment for boils but for me it was the opposite. I had never suffered from boils previously but within a few days of taking ACV, a large boil would appear. Initially, I thought it was possibly eliminating toxins in my body through these boils but the only way to stop outbreaks was to cease the ACV. Free from boils for a few months and then retrialling ACV again would cause yet another outbreak. I tried this four times, all with the same effect. I changed nothing in my diet or environment such as detergents etc.

On the positive side, I loved the diuretic effect of the ACV and I definitely had more energy as it levelled my blood sugar level. No, I am not a diabetic. Any solutions would be appreciated.

Better But With Side Effects

A couple months ago when I had a very bad cold I found this site and tried a few different concoctions of ACV to be able to swallow. Everything I tried worked Great! However, I have a side effect that when I am sick or healthy that I do not know is normal and would like to hear if anyone else is effected the same way or a way to get around it.

My side effect when taking ACV is that I lose my ability to taste completely for the entire day. I have tried different ways of drinking ACV with warm water and honey, or 2 tsp to 18oz of water or the _____'s recipe on the bottle. Either way I lose my ability to taste and sometimes smell. Again is this normal? I sip not gulp down. I have tried a straw and still no luck. Thank you for your reply.
