Sleep Paralysis Remedies

Aug 20, 2017

A variety of treatments for sleep paralysis have been identified from sleeping in different positions to avoiding specific foods such as chocolate and coffee. Natural supplements have also proven effective for stimulating better sleep and alleviating symptoms of sleep paralysis.

What is Sleep Paralysis?

Sleep paralysis is a fairly common phenomenon that occurs when an individual wakes from sleep unable to move or speak. The condition is typically not harmful but is distressing to the affected individual. The condition is believed to be a result of the body’s abnormal movement through the typical sleep cycles, which may be a result of a lack of sleep, sleep schedule changes, stress, sleeping on the back, other sleep problems, certain medications and substance abuse.

Natural Remedies for Abnormal Sleep Patterns

While lifestyle changes such as avoiding certain trigger foods, not sleeping on the back and maintaining a regular sleep schedule tend to be effective treatments for many, natural sleep aids are also particularly helpful for managing sleep paralysis. Sleep aids help ensure more restful sleep and prevent waking up in terror or paralysis. Valerian, chamomile and melatonin are all natural sleep supplements that assist in treating sleep paralysis.

Valerian

Valerian is a dietary supplement that has historically been used for insomnia and nervousness. The compound contains a number of different components that make it effective for managing regular sleep patterns. If using valerian, an individual should not combine it with other supplements or medications for sleep.

Chamomile

Chamomile is an herbal remedy used to manage stress and induce sleep. Chamomile is available in a variety of forms including tea, extract and topical ointment. Chamomile is effective for managing sleep-related conditions by relaxing the body and inducing a deeper, more restful sleep.

Melatonin

Melatonin is a hormone that is natural produced in the body in the pineal gland in the brain. This hormone regulates sleep by balancing the circadian rhythms. When taken as a supplement, melatonin induces more natural sleep and also functions as an antioxidant to remove any free radicals that may be hindering good health and effective sleep.

While sleep paralysis causes many affected individuals concern, the condition is typically harmless. Natural treatment options do promote better sleep and prevent the condition, though.

I just wanted to tell my family's experience with the dreaded Sleep Paralysis. This really happened.

I have never experienced Sleep Paralysis but my son and my husband has and it must be terrifying since my adult son started sleeping with earphones and music on for weeks. It started in our home like this:

In our neighborhood all of sudden we seemed to have a rash of deaths. About 7 neighbors in our little town passed away. 2 from heart attacks, 1 from cancer, one young man was drinking and riding his motorcycle and was hit by a truck just down the street from us and he died. And about 3 neighbors died due to old age. These deaths seemed to happen all of a sudden! One night about this time my son had an episode of sleep paralysis. He said it seemed like the sound of a locomotive was in his room and then something would try to get in bed with him. My son said at first he thought one of us got in bed with him as he could feel the mattress slump. We did not. He had about 4 episodes like this and was afraid to go to sleep. About the same time my husband was asleep one night and said it seemed like a "being" stood over him and tried to suck out the life from his body! He said it was terrifying and my husband had to fight to stop this from happening. Neither my husband or my son could move as this happened. I was the only person in the house it didn't happen to. And I'm the only person in the house that prays before I go to bed. My husband now prays before he goes to bed and it hasn't happened to him. My son doesn't believe in God so he refuses to pray. He did have a couple episodes but they stopped. So far neither one has had another episode. If you are experiencing this try praying before going to bed and see if it helps. My husband actually thought the being was the Grim Reaper.

My wife also gets sleep paralysis, she regularly prays before going to bed, when she does not it tends to harm her. She feels someone has done black magic on her. It's seems from her description exactly like what you are saying, but I didn't realise how distressing it actually is. Hope someone exposes the true cause of the event so everyone affected can reverse/protect themselves from it. From my experience of what people say, it does not seems like a pharmacological malfunction from some kind of vitamin/mineral deficiency, but it does seem more like a possession attempt as a presence is felt. My wife did notice that as she increased in prayer, the paralysis would mostly dissappear but when it did occur it would be in a dream form as opposed to waking her up.

Also, the main way we initially reduced the harm of the sleep paralysis was whenever we went bed and she got the sleep paralysis she could fight it a bit and wiggle her foot so I would wake her up by shakimg her whenever I noticed it. After a few years I bough a fitness watch which would vibrate her wrist when it detected high heart rate (which we set form 70-120 beats bed minute, it was weak vibration but gave her just enough sensation to wake herself from the paralysis. Will now make aure she uses both techniques together!

I have a good friend with narcolepsy and he tells me that frightening sleep paralysis is common among narcoleptics. He has episodes that are more seasonal (fall and winter as I recall) and also more so when he is stressed and hasn't been getting enough restorative sleep at night. So these episodes might have to do with the way one's brain is wired. Magnesium supplementation at night might help.

The fact that it is season could mean low vit D-3 and K-2 also . Another thought could be he went to school and something bad was happening there and his body remembers and is reliving it in the sleep issues.

first off, I believe in God, Prayer and miracles but this is something I read out of curiosity for a friend at church who's air conditioner is talking to him...

the supplements might help the sleep issues

I have cases of people who see ghost with enough details to tell me where their corpse are regarding their deaths. They will also take possession, regardless of where you travel. However, there is a cure and it's really simple, regarding spirit/ghost possession that I have recently cured. The cure is just to make them healthy. Once the health has returned, especially those who are neurologically imbalanced, it goes away within the day. The case I cured is rather straight forward, A form of hepatitis B somehow entered their brain, causing them to have certain ESP, in seeing ghosts who can give correct information, future, etc. It's the same with Greek Oracles. In any event, I have a reported person who has similar problems that was recently cured, a month ago, the supplements was long and detailed and is beyond the time I can spend on this email. However, the key is to identify the cause of the condition. The person who can communicated had hepatitis B entering his brain (been infected for half of his life now), is cured, last I heard was about all gone. The supplements to deal with that was zinc, lysine and aspirin, where the latter two required fifty minute doses for 4 doses for two days. As to the other woman with extreme depression the cure was methylene blue, drops of HCl in a glass of water during meals (it's concentrated 35% HCl 3 drops in a glass of water), clove oil used as massage oil only for feet area and the hands (as it's antiviral against epstein barr), and lysine. In the instance of devil/ghost/spirit it goes away once the person's is healthy enough that it can't be bothered by possessions, which often occurs during peak time about 2 a.m. to 5 a.m. The attack starts from 12 midnight to 6 a.m.

A schizophrenia is helped most especially very violent attacks is B3 500 mg three times a day. A vitamin B50 is taken daily. This will be the major remedy regarding psychological issues. Amino acid supplements is about 2000 mg a day. The B3, Amino acid, and B50 in that order are the most important remedies regarding violent outbursts caused by a neurological imbalance. It takes about 30 minutes after taking the supplements to calm down.
