12/24/2008: Mark from Silver Spring, Maryland: "I was pleased to read that there's an inexpensive way to detox from, as well as neutralize, fluoride. Haven't yet found 20 Mule Team Borax in Safeway or Giant. (I live in the Washington, DC area). What about boron supplement? 250 3mg capsules cost $4.00 online from Swanson Vitamins. If it can be substituted, what would be the dosage? Thanks for any information."Replies
12/25/2008: T from Baltimore, MD, USA replies: "Mark, my local Giant sells the 20 Mule Team borax. You should ask the manager of yours about getting some in. I don't see why they shouldn't if others in the chain do carry it. Good luck."
03/24/2010: Keshia from Bowie, Md replies: "Mark, I've been able to find 20 Mule Team borax at the Shoppers Food in Bowie."
[BETTER BUT WITH SIDE EFFECTS] 11/16/2008: James Wallace from Seattle, Washington / USA: "A few years ago I used Borax to reduce fluoride and got a rash on my hands and feet. This is a classical sign of Borax / boron poisoning (I really don't consider it a real poisoning).
Since I really liked what Borax did for me, until I got the rash,I thought if I ever find a way to get ride of the rash I must share it. Mostly because I lost about 15 pounds in 15 weeks while taking Borax (seems that's another side effect of "Borax poisoning").
The thing that worked for me was taking niacin to flush. So you don't want to use flushless niacin. 500 mg to 1000 mg does it for me. I do it as soon as I wake up for the day.
Seems the niacin flush opens the capularies wider and alows larger particles to get out of the hands and feet. The palms of the hands and the soles of the feet are where the Borax rash occurs. It takes awhile to get completely clear of the boran that acumulates there, But releaf from the rash only takes days.
Here's the interesting thing; to make the flushing of boron faster you actually have to quit the niacin until the rash comes back. Then you restart the niacin and it clears up again. In my case this worked asimetricaly. First the sole of my left foot cleared up, then my right palm. After that my right sole and then my left palm.
And now I am clear of Borax / boron poisoning. So now I can take Borax again. It did take a couple of years to get back to normal for me. But if I had figured out how to do the "use niacin for a month and quit until the rash comes backs and start niacin again" I think I could have cleared this up in four to six months.
The possible reason I might have had born acumulation is because I may have smaller capularies than other people.
I don't consider "Borax / boron poisoning" to be a real poisoning because really only the rash and the weightloss are the only side effects.
And the reason I wanted to publish this here is because I don't want any of you to be hesitent to use Borax because of my last post where I said I had gotten the boron rash. And because Borax is safe and effective."
11/17/2008: Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "The only rash I have reported from borax came from Morgellon's Disease, Lyme, and Lupus that flushes out the nanoinsects and mycoplasma that lies deep into the system. It seems the use of niacin made the autoimmune disorder worse. So the rash is not a poisoning it's an autoimmunity. I still have a large box of nanoinsects where they come out on the skin, from one of the earthclinic reader, that are in the millions sitting on my desk. It killed off the nanoinsect which surfaces. The niacin is a double edged sword. In one cases the use of morgellons' got worse in another case, the taking of niacin together with borax killed the nanoinsect much faster. Therefore the rash if it is non-Mogellons, turns out to be a mycoplasma that seems to cause the joint pain.
As to the weight loss some, not all, will have that benefit from borax. The issue is if a person has low hormones or low blood boron, the supplementation of boron raises the bodys' hormones (e.g. growth hormone, sex hormone - it works like a viagra) and cause the body's metabolism to burn the fat faster. In fact boron it self is a surfactant that increases the body's hormone's efficiency even if the hormones is still low. In fact fats and oils lowers the body's hormones by blocking them, while surfactants, such as boron and lecithin helps hormones to function normally by removing the fats from blocking as it is soluble to the surfactant.
I don't support or condone the use of boron, but I find it necessary still for removal of fluoride which is a lot more toxic then boron, and still I don't use everyday either, but in conditions of autoimmune disease, Morgellon's, Lupus, these condition are very debilitating to the point that one case the debilitation lasted about two decades before the recovery is possible upon supplementation with baking soda, potassium citrate and borax.
A proper use of borax is to dissolve in one liter of water 1/8 or 1/4 teaspoon. In event of colder climates the solubility of borax maybe reduced.so it may have to be dissolved in two liter of water. What I suspect however is that borax was not dissolved in a liter to two liter of drinking water here.
The other issue if niacin if not properly used can make the condition worse in event of an autoimmunity and is not likely will be posted as a remedy and used only as a last resort , after alkalizing remedy is used, and EDTA is used. Most of the cloggings or rashes after examining if it is not nanoinsects, mycoplasma, Morgellons, and bacteria that is deep inside the body, usually existing in the joints Then hydrogen peroxide drops is used too, If those were eliminated, than what I found is the enormous calcification that occurs whenever fluoride is of high level. It's the calcium that clogs the capillaries. The counter remedy to reduce calcium (fluoride tends to increase blood calcium as is metabolic acidosis). And therefore a more useful remedy is to reduce blood calcium to normal levels using the lemon and baking soda, which is a citrate, or a more stronger disodium EDTA, pH buffered to 7.5 pH. Citrate can also chelate out the excess calcium but alkalization also reduces the leeching effects that occurs with blood acidity.
Therefore to prevent further problems of excessive blood calcium, it is often the alkalization that has to be added. A borax is never taken directly but is always diluted with plenty of water, such as a liter of water. Quite often most of the problems I have encountered with borax used is instructions were not followed, and the dose exceeded the instructions, or not understanding proper alkalization during borax use, which is required if the body already had metabolic acidosis. If blood calcium is high it is also good to use the lemon and baking soda remedy where the resulting reaction is a citrate which reduces the blood calcium too. Weight loss is often from the effects of surfactant properties in removing excessive oils that blocks normal hormone functioning that causes weight gains in some people who already had high blood fats.
06/27/2009: Lilly from Margate, Florida replies: "Just wanted to reply to the borax poisoning.. I really don't think his reaction on the hands or any part of the skin is from the Borax..I have been using it for months now from the grocery store, I love it and also use it on my girls 5 & 7. Every now and then my skin would itch for no reason almost like crawling and it would keep me up at night scratching, untill I found your site and tried it. I keep it in a tupaware in the shower, soap up a wash towel then pour the borax in the towel (no measuring) just make a mound and wash my whole body w/it...it feels sooo good and I sleep like a baby, no itching, also do the same w/my girls and my husband, it feels like exfoliating and everyone loves it here, we have had no adverse reactions except soft beautiful skin. Thanks to everyone...I love your site and read for hrs."
08/25/2011: Bev from Elroy, Wi replies: "I don't know if I can help you. I have central hypothyroidism with undetectable TSH. Besides taking Armour 2 gr. I have adrenal failure and I am on hydrocortisone. I follow the dietary recommendations of Ray Peat PhD. www.raypeat.com"
[YEA] 12/13/2007: Bev from Elroy, WI: "I had been treated with zithromax for pneumonia but what seemed to trigger the severe, sudden onset of reflux was taking 200mg of ibuprofen twice within the week for pain in my neck during that time. The ibuprofen caused a gastric ulcer since I had been on periodic courses of prednisone earlier for acute asthma which resolved after seven weeks of antibiotics. When I got the pneumonia I had no asthma but a high fever, fatigue and pain in the neck. Steroids can cause ulcers but I didn't think the effect would last that long as I was not taking any at the time. I woke up choking at night with reflux and started protonix. Stopped after about one year and since use digestive enzymes, honey, camomile, ACV with baking soda. Caution: Prevacid ia a fluoridated medication. Along with the reflux, I began severe hypothyroid symptoms I believe caused by Diflucan and Advair which are both fluoridated. Have been doing the borax detox twice a week and have reduced thyroid medication from 3 1/2 to 2 1/2 gr Armour."
[YEA] 09/11/2007: Bev from Elroy, Wisconsin: "After reading the info on fluoride on Earth Clinic I realised that the onset of my severe hypothyroid symptoms of extreme fatigue, weight gain, hair loss etc. was caused by taking repeated doses of Flucanazole to prevent yeast during repeated antibiotics for acute asthma [healed after 90 days on Zithromax]. My TSH [thyroid stimulating hormone] is less than .01 which shows hyperthyroidism so I have had a hard time finding a doctor willing to treat me. Now I know it is because the fluoride inhibits the pituitary gland from producing TSH. I live in a fluoridated community so my exposure has been long term. For several years I have had reverse osmosis water but it is very disappointing to find there is no acceptable whole house removal system. It was recommended to me to take cool showers as skin absorption is greater than drinking. I am hoping to convince our city council to drop the fluoride. I was happy to hear that borax can be used for detox. Yesterday I mixed 1/8 tsp of borax and sea salt in one L of water. During the night I awoke with a headache. By morning it was so bad that I vomited the aspirin, snack and enzymes I took to combat it. I couldn't keep anything other than sips down without dry heaves until early evening.I am thinking that is a detox reaction. I am going to hold off another day and dilute it further. I currently take Armour Thyroid and about $400 of supplements, mainly enzymes to prevent reflux, keep spinal alignment, joint stiffness, fatigue, sinus infections, constipation, hair loss and all those other nasty hypothyroid effects. I was also taking the apple cider vinegar and baking soda [about 8 days now] at the same time so may be that was too much at once with the borax. I will keep you posted on my progress. Thank you for this wonderful website."Replies
06/20/2011: Guilherme from Los Angeles, Ca, Us replies: "HI BEV, I HAVE hypothyroid LIKE YOU AND ASK IF YOU CAN HELP ME A BIT."
12/01/2012: Conniemerie from Twin Lakes, Wi replies: "Re: hypothyroid.... The herb "ginger" slows down your basal metabolic rate; there are probably others that I don't know about. Repeated lung ailments can cause the constricting of intercostal muscles with each bout so that asthma gets worse over time. You could try going to a therapeutic massage therapist to have those muscles addressed. Also, the essential oils naouli, peppermint and eucalyptus applied over your whole rib cage during a bout can open up your airways.
For psoriasis you can also take a bath with 1 cup of 35% food grade hydrogen peroxide plus 1 cup of borax and completely submerge yourself in water as hot as you can tolerate. Keep refreshing with hot water to take a bath for at least 1/2 hour. Shower off totally. Anyone that has any toxic issues should take as many antioxidants, take as many oxygen producing supplements as they can in addition to keeping their bodies in an alkaline condition.
Last, but not least.... Anyone that wants to treat themselves needs to read up on how their bodies work and what their bodies need for good health and go about learning what works best for them. Become self-reliant and stop attempting to put the onus of your health onto someone else. We're adults here; let's act like it. While it's good to ask advice; ultimately, that's all it is. You decide whether or not you'll take it."
[YEA] 09/08/2007: Pamela from City Withheld, Washington: "I have suffered with Fibromyalgia/Rosacea and TMJ for over 10 years... My first symptoms appeared shortly after I began taking Paxil. After about 8 months when I found the Paxil side effects intolerable, my doctor switched me to Prozac. Well...within 2 years, I had gained 75 pound, couldn't get my temperature to a normal 98.6 (it wouldn't budge above 96.6), broke out with a fierce case of Rosacea (skin blistering & pealing in layers off my cheeks), was chronically fatigued and suffered from TMJ symptoms.
After reading the FLUORIDE information on EarthClinc and researching the chemical formulas of the many antidepressants that I had taken over the last 10 years, I had an epiphany...My problem was FLUORIDE!!! Incidentally, the symptoms of FLUORIDE TOXICITY are the same as Fibromyalgia so it wasn't surprising to learn that FLUORIDE is the primary ingredient in MANY widely prescribed antidepressants, including PAXIL and PROZAC!!!
Without delay, I began adding 1/8 tsp of BORAX and 1/8 tsp of NATURAL (UN-bleached) SEA SALT to a liter of
DE-CLORINATED water. This regimine just happens to both neutralize the FLUORIDE and KILL the nasty mites that cause Rosacea.
I began drinking 1 liter per day for 5 days. On the 2 off days, I simply drank purified, bottled spring water.
The results were nothing short of MIRACULOUS, within two weeks my face cleared, the redness faded and best of all, my temperature normalized TO 98.6 and my energy level began to steadily increased. (Do expect the break out to get worse before it gets better as the mites die off.)
In just one month, without dieting or changing my daily routine (other than adding BORAX & SEA SALT to my drinking water), I dropped 4 pounds and I continue to drop weight at about a pound a week. I attribute this to my increased body temperature and elevated metabolism.
ALSO...when I eliminated the FLUORIDE in my toothpaste, my gums stopped swelling and bleeding and all PREVIOUS phantom tooth/jaw pain simply disappeared.
Thank you, EarthClinc and Ted...The information you shared has truely been a blessing in my life...I wholeheartedly encourage anyone that is suffering with FIBROMYALGIA, CHRONIC FATIGUE, TMJ or ROSACEA to try this simple remedy as I have had only POSITIVE results and absolutely NO SIDE EFFECTS!!!
Incidently, this BORAX & SEA SALT water is extremely ALKALINE with a pH between 8 - 9 pH."
EC: EC: We must also express our extreme gratitude to Jason Uttley for the chronic fluoride poisoning link in his article, The Cause of Fibromyalgia.
06/25/2009: Dr. Mike from Livonia, Michigan replies: "I have patients with Fibro and was wondering how long after taking the Borax solution did you experience higher energy levels and if any relief of joint pains. Also what test do you take to determine if you are clear of the Fluoride...?"
04/20/2013: Anto from Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, South Africa: "I've read somewhere that boric acid can cure foot odor (for a couple of years at least). I tried to find it but could only find borax. Will it do the same job as boric acid?I also purchased a eye cleanser that contains boric acid. The reason I want to know:My husband has smelly feet and it affects his whole life. We fear the moment when he is admitted into hospital for some reason (accident for example) and there's no time to wash his feet. Thanking you in advance for your response."Replies
04/20/2013: Cc from From Sea To Shining Sea replies: "Think Zinc, for stinky feet! : )"
04/21/2013: Louwrence from Rustenburg, North West, South Africa replies: "Hi Anto, Usually smelly feet is caused by candida, so do something about the candida, ootherwise it will be an ongoing problem. Get some hydrogen peroxide & spray it on his feet & it should help to kill the fungus & let him put some bicarb in his socks & shoes it helps to absorb the sweat & walk around barefoot."
[SIDE EFFECTS] 07/15/2008: Janet D. from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma: "I tried Borax remedy for my persistent fungus problem in my mouth. I tried Borax internally because Nystation didn't get rid of it ( only partly it did). I used store brand Borax, 1/8 tsp in one liter of distilled water. The first day I experienced a nasty headache all day long and at the second day, my kidney started hurting. So I had to stop taking Borax and I'll never try it again. The pain persisted 5 day after I stopped taking it. It was really scary! I read Ted's comment stating that he uses the store brand Borax when he can't find pure grade Borax. I have read most of user comment and Ted's email before I decided to try Borax remedy. I would like to post my experience about using store brand Borax so that people can least expects what can happen."Replies
11/25/2009: Lilly from Margate, Fl replies: "I just wanted to reply to any post that discredits the use of Borax (store brand), I have no complaints, aches or pains but just wanted to use the borax for my own peace of mind and study if you will, to see what would happen if I injested it and not the proper way either. I was my own guini pig, so I filled a empty vegie cap "00" with borax and took it w/a cup of water. Waited a day or so, nothing happened so I did it again, still felt no change or ill effect, I continued this for a wk and still got no ill effect or change in urine or stool, no headache, no rash, no flushing or anything, I will report back to this site w/my latest findings. I also have been taking epsom salt the same way for months and feel great, my stomach is flat finally and not bloated after any meals."
[SIDE EFFECTS] 09/01/2011: Kimmi from Park City-wichita, Ks replies: "Yesterday I tried the Borax as suggested (1/8 tsp. To 1 litre of water) and got THE WORST cramping diarrhea EVER. Today my right kidney hurts severely and my sinuses are very painful. When I eat, I have a searing pain up over my right eye, into my forehead. I'm very unhappy over this, as I was really hoping for something that would help my rosacea and the possible fibromyalgia I suffer. :(
Ohh, well.. I guess I will use the rest for laundry and around the house!"
09/09/2011: Jen from Bozeman, Mt, Us replies: "I would stick with it if I were you. I too got extreme headaches and started feeling like I was coming down with an illness. I have been taking it for 3 weeks now and on about the 3rd day I started with the headaches, naseua, extreme fatigue, dizzyness, and just generally feeling yucky. I decided to stick it out and it lasted for about 1 week to 9 days. I am feeling way better now. I think it was the detox that my body was going through. I am hoping to get rid of all of the flouride in my body and I do not want to give up. I also had some pains in my kidneys and read Ted's post about making sure to take magnesium with it. I have not had any pain since."
[BETTER BUT NOT CURED] 05/31/2008: JS from Asheville, NC: "I have been trying to get rid of a fungal infection on my feet that I have had for years. Athlete's foot and now, in the past, 2 years, severely cracked heels (a sign of fungus, I have read). The over-the-counter creams that I have used do work, but they don't work permanently: the infection just moves around and later returns.
After reading up on the many of the remedies on Earth Clinic, I decided to make up my own recipe for a foot bath. So for the past 4 days, I have done the following:
3 heaping tablespoons of borax (20 mule team) dissolved in hot water, then added to a large tupperware storage container (cheap and perfect size for 2 feet).
Add 1 cup of apple cider vinegar.
Add enough hot water to cover my the bottoms of my feet and ankles.
I soak my feet for 10-15 minutes every morning.
I can't tell you at this point if it will cure the fungal infection. What I can tell you is that after 9 minutes, I get a very powerful taste in my mouth. It is the same taste I get when I am taking supplements to detox from heavy metals. What's weird is that it happens every day at the 9 minute mark. (Coincidentally, oil pulling causes my sinuses to open at the 9 minute mark too). I think that this foot soak may be a powerful way to detox from heavy metals, particularly fluoride. I hope other people will give it a try and give me their opinions. I will report back with more results in a week or two."Replies
02/29/2012: Lou from Tyler, Tx replies: "Try coconut castile body wash for foot fungal problems. It really works!!!"
11/14/2013: Arn from Seattle: "Stop being afraid of borax. It is wonderful stuff. As has been said before, it is about as toxic as salt. Regarding purity, borax is mined just like table salt. You can't refine either one any further. Hey, try to wash them and they dissolve, fer pitty sake.
One of the neatest benefits of boron is it basically doubles your absorption rate of calcium. It is required for strong bones.
The easy way to take borax is to get some gelatin capsules from yout pharmacy or health food store and make your own borax pills. Remember to take them with a cup of water.
If you found scented borax you goofed and bought boric acid instead. Some boric acid brands are perfumed. Boric acid is not dangerous, other than the fact it is acidic. Diluted it has been used for sprains, pains, bug bites and rashes for ages.
Boric acid is the one you want to use for insect control. Ants, termites, cockroaches and the like have a waxy coating on their bodies. Even a speck of boric acid will kill them by burning a hole in the coating so they dehydrate. I suspect a dusting would do the same for bedbugs.
Any form of borax is deadly to fungus. I sprayed the inside hull of my antique wooden boat to stop dry rot. Drill a hole near the base of a fence post, pour in some borax, and plug it. The borax diffuses through the wood to stop rot."
06/01/2013: Dee from Lancashire, Great Britain: "Hi all, has anyone read the NEXUS magazine & also the borax conspiracy (Walter Last). He is a retired biochemist, chemist & toxicologist & swears by borax for just about everything. NEXUS mag is good cos it lets you about what big pharma & other dominators choose to keep from you. Nice to find a community like this where people care about health, each other & the earth rather than being greedy finding dodgy ways to extrapolate money & destroy what little planet we have left.
07/14/2013: Jenny from Brisbane, Australia replies: "Hi Dee, I read Nexus all the time and can't recommend it enough. Anyone who wants to know the real news behind the news on TV and in the newspapers should read it. I also read the article on Borax and that is what started me off on my investigations of this product. There has also been an amazing article on D3 in the latest issue June/July.
Best of health to all, Jenny"
10/01/2012: Maria from New Jersey, New York: "To All E/C readers, there was an old posting mentioned that Borax 20 Mule contains fragrance/scent. Here is what dial had to say about it.
"Thank you for taking the time to contact us regarding 20 Mule Team Borax.

08/06/2012: Susan from New York: "bill from san fernando, can you check this link below to see if this is the right borax for the earthclinc readers. the 20 mule brand borax has added fragrance to the borax. it might not be pure.
08/06/2012: Bill from San Fernando, Philippines replies: "The link shows technical grade borax which is good enough to use. I also use technical or chemical grade borax for supplementation and I've used it in the daily amounts as advised by Ted for many years. And if you buy 1 lb of borax -- this will last you for years because you only use fairly small amounts anyway on a daily basis.
I also note that borax is sold as boron in health shops -- usually at a pill dosage of 3 to 6 mgs a day. Boron or borax is the same stuff -- sodium tetraborate. That pill dosage may well successfully recover an arthritic mouse or help a rat suffering from rampanat candida, but this small dosage will have little beneficial effect on humans. Another example of the ridiculously low and useless RDA dosages promoted by Codex Alimentarius."
08/07/2012: Carly from Seattle, Wa - Usa replies: "Hi Bill, How many mg a day of boron would you recommend for human consumption? I have been taking 3mg a day, but am wondering what the upper limit would be.
I really love reading your posts!
Thank you. :)"
08/08/2012: Bill from San Fernando, Philippines replies: "Hi Carly... The normal RDA health dosage for boron is between 3 mgs and 6 mgs. Personally, I think that this dosage is way to small if you are trying to cure problems like arthritis or candida or trying to detox Fluoride from your body.
Boron is the same as Sodium Tetraborate --which is borax. If you buy boron tablets from a health shop and look at the constituents on the back -- it will say that it contains so many mgs of sodium tetraborate or borax per tablet. I don't know why they call it boron since boron can never exist in its free state.
The dosage I use is Ted's recommended 1/4 teaspoon borax(for men) in a liter of water and I just drink that throughout the day. Women should use a dosage of 1/8 tspn of borax in a liter of water. Take this for 5 consecutive days then take 2 days rest from the protocol and continue like this on a weekly basis.
Ted also recommends using just 20 mule Team Borax for your borax needs but this is up to you. But I can't buy this in the Philippines -- so I have to use chemical grade borax instead."
08/08/2012: Carly from Seattle, Wa - USA replies: "Thank you for the information Bill, I appreciate it. I have been taking 3mg of boron a day, every day.... but it seems to not be working as well as it had been.
I use _______ Boron Chelate in capsule form, and the bottle doesn't list sodium tetraborate on the ingredients - it just says: Boron (as Boron amino acid chelate) 3mg. Other Ingredients: Cellulose, Gelatin (Capsule).
Anyway - I think I will up it to 6mg a day (and take the two days off every week suggested) and see if that does the trick.
Thanks again for your time. :-)"
07/26/2012: The Old Soul from Lancaster, Uk: "Can anyone tell me if Borax Powder BP (Boric Oxide) is suitable for the cures you talk about. If so at what dilution? Thanks, The Old Soul"
06/17/2012: Linda from Liverpool, Merseyside: "Hi, I have suffered with various problems for the last 15 years, ME, chronic fatigue and diarrhea, endometriosis, adhesions on my bowel. I have not taken the advice of my doctor to go on hormonel treatment to stop my periods because all intervention that I have had in the past seem to have made things worse. I have spent a lot of money on alternative health trying to make things better but nothing as helped. I thought that taking the Borax might help though I was quite nervous about this. I bought a very pure one and I used about half the recommened dose. I only put a pinch in a quarter of a liter of water. I must have drank about half of a small glass and I stopped because I started to get some reactions.
Firstly my stomach is always swollen and sore but it almost became worse straight away, with a bubbling noise all over, later that night all painful areas flared up and I was coughing a lot, it was like my body was trying to clear something. Today I have terrible diarrhea to the point of passing water, whilst my stools are always loose, this is different, I have had to run to the toilet within an hour of eating. Because my stomach is tender anyway, things are really painful today. The one thing that does feel quite a bit better is that I can breath, for the first time in ages my sinuses feel clear. I suffer from allergies and my nose is always blocked. I cannot believe that such a small dose of anything could have such an impact and wonder why you think this might be? I read a lot of stuff here about the borax before taking it and I know that some people do have diarrhea as a side effect, though I did hear someone else say that it made their stools darker and more formed which was my hope. I just can't believe that something this small, it was a pinch in loads of water of which I only drank a small amount could do this. I don't think I can carry on and I am wondering what to do. It seems that what ever I try just seems to make it worse. I tried peppermint oil a while ago which seemed to help a bit but then the diarrhea got worse and my food started come through undigested. Please any idea as to what might be happening here and why such a small dose could have caused this to happen?
07/06/2012: Linda from Liverpool replies: "I have been taking the borax for a couple of weeks now. Started very slow because of severe reactions. The reactions died down after a few days and I started to get really positive results in terms of energy. I felt like I had more energy than I have had for years and for the first time in years I was able to exercise, which felt great. I also had less trouble with allergies. However the pain from my endometriosis is much worse and I am due to have my period in a day or so and the pain is almost unbearable. This also happened when I took progestrone cream which is meant to help. I feel really sad because I felt like I was getting my life back. I have read that borax increases estrogen which is not good for endometrosis but I have also read that it should balance estrogen rather than increase it. Can Ted or someone please please help me? Linda"
05/08/2013: Tim from Cincinnati, Oh replies: "Linda, It sounds like you might be helped by drinking 1-2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in a large glass of water once or twice per day. Go to the Apple Cider Vinegar Cures page http://www.earthclinic.com/Remedies/acvinegar.html and see if that gives you any ideas."
05/28/2012: Citygirl27 from Richardson, Tx, Usa: "Came across Borax suggestions elsewhere online a few days ago in my quest for home-based scabies treatments. Found this forum and its numerous benefits being discussed. I have been "out of balance" for most of my life, and it is getting worse now with fatigue and hypoxia (what you can feel when heat stroke is coming on) setting in after minimal sports exertion.
I also believe I have PCOS caused by medications taken in childhood but it is not confirmed - I have multiple symptoms of it including the chin and lip hairs beginning from age 13. I also have had chronic sleep problems in not getting continuous sleep at night, despite ensuring I am getting approx 8 hours each night. With no insurance and a complete loss as to how to pinpoint these multiple issues, I began the borax water today. 1 liter of bottled water mixed with 1/8 teaspooon of 20 Mule borax. I already take alpha lipoic, magnesium, and kelp supplements daily among other vitamins including D. I'll try the 4 days on 3 days off and see how I feel. I'm prepared for initial "detox" symptoms but hope my magnesium intake will lessen them somewhat. Yes I read 4 pages of the forum before posting, and understand people's skepticism initially.
Borax (and boron) much like iodine and sulfur has been used for thousands of years successfully but began to interfere with big pharma's profits as industry "modernized". The FDA has no interest except in keeping us sick through our food and protecting big pharma. Be very wary of their labelling and recommenations. (think, why would they scare people off iodine and iodized flour and bread, and get makers in the habit to put *gasp* bromine in food instead when iodine is helpful and bromine is the opposite??) Will post back here in a few weeks of 4 on/3 off of "boronated" water intake."
